Always Wanted to Be a Bride
Well, yes, I did, don’t we all? And of course, what better way to indulge in a fantasy than to do it through a photo shoot? This was a plot that took a lot of hatching, because who wants to do a shoot with only one outfit? So it makes sense to do several! And if it’s a wedding, it needs a groom and a bridesmaid. And if you’re a tgirl, why stop at that? Why not do the mother of the bride, too? I love those smart ‘church suit’ looks, so I had no hesitation in putting one together for Tina’s mother, who also happens to be called Tina. And those who know me also know that I love androgynous looks too, so why not have a female groom (strangely Tina married another Tina)? And in amongst all that, there had to be a best friend called Tina who fulfilled the role of bridesmaid. Of course, I fantasize that all these characters have characters too. Tina the bridesmaid is a shy and lovely young thing. Tina the groom is confident and dominating. Tina the bride’s mother, is trying to outshine her daughter. And of course Tina the bride is simply lovely and lets her own star shine for itself, taking all this in her stride.
Mauve is Tina’s colour, so it had to be the theme for the wedding, even down to the flowers. Who better to carry out the makeover and shoot than Alise Black - her makeup is heaven and she was full of ideas for the shoot. I also had backgrounds made to give it the feel of an English country wedding - although I actually prefer Alise’s original efforts in the studio. You can find a carousel of the photos from the shoot on my gallery page.
Finally, this all happened during COVID so it was a blessed relief to get out and DO SOMETHING!
